We are looking for volunteers from all backgrounds and experiences to help with a variety of tasks. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive event, and we believe that everyone has something to contribute. Volunteers will have the opportunity to meet other WordPress enthusiasts, learn new skills, and make a difference in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available, including:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Registration desk:<\/strong>&nbsp;Help with registration, distribute badges, and provide information to attendees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Session room monitor:<\/strong>&nbsp;Help ensure that sessions start on time, manage the room, and assist speakers and attendees as needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Greeter:<\/strong>&nbsp;Welcome attendees, answer any questions they may have, and direct them to various parts of the venue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Swag distribution:<\/strong>&nbsp;Assist in distributing swag, ensuring attendees receive their WordCamp T-shirts, stickers, and other items.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Food and beverage service:&nbsp;<\/strong>Assist with food and beverage service during the event, including setting up tables, serving food and drinks, and cleaning up afterward.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sponsor support:<\/strong>&nbsp;Assist event sponsors with their booths and provide support as needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Speaker liaison:&nbsp;<\/strong>Assist speakers by ensuring they have everything they need for their presentations and helping them navigate the venue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinating transportation for attendees, speakers and providing information on public transportation options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Social media:&nbsp;<\/strong>Help with social media during the event by posting updates, taking photos, and interacting with attendees online.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Photography and videography:<\/strong>&nbsp;Help capture photos and videos of the event to share on social media and other platforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Feedback and evaluation:&nbsp;<\/strong>Assist in collecting feedback and evaluations from attendees, sponsors, and speakers to help improve future WordCamps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cleanliness and sanitation:<\/strong>&nbsp;Assist with maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, including cleaning up after meals, wiping down tables and chairs, and ensuring that restrooms are well-stocked.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Technical support:<\/strong>&nbsp;Setting up &amp; troubleshooting technical equipment, including projectors, microphones, and Wi-Fi.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Volunteer coordination:<\/strong>&nbsp;Assist in organizing and coordinating other volunteers, assigning roles, and ensuring that everyone is on the same page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Security and safety:<\/strong>&nbsp;Assist with ensuring the safety and security of attendees, including monitoring entrances and exits, keeping an eye on the event space, and responding to emergencies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Parking and transportation:<\/strong>&nbsp;Assist with directing attendees to parking areas, coordinating transportation for speakers and sponsor representatives, and providing information on public transportation options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accessibility support:&nbsp;<\/strong>Assist attendees with accessibility needs by providing information and assistance as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are interested in volunteering for WordCamp Masaka 2023, we invite you to fill out our volunteer application form.
